Author Guidelines

Insights Articles are concise, evidence-led writings designed for rapid editorial evaluation and public dissemination. They are more rigorous than ordinary blog entries, but lighter than full journal research articles.

1. Length and Format

• Recommended length: 1,500-2,000 words for most Articles.
• Minimum length: 1,000 words unless the editor has invited a short note.
• Upper guidance: 2,500 words. Longer pieces may be split into a series.
• Abstract: 150-250 words, written as a precise summary rather than a promotional blurb.
• Files: DOCX, ODT, RTF, or clean PDF for review. For production, an editable source file is strongly preferred.

2. Required Article Structure

Every Article should include the following structured elements:

1. Title: Clear, explanatory, and accurate.
2. Author Details & Affiliations: Names, locations, and contact addresses.
3. Short Summary or Abstract: 150-250 words summarizing the core insight.
4. Introduction: Background, relevance, and the exact question or problem.
5. Main Sections: Clear headings, logical sequence, and concise paragraphs.
6. Evidence, Examples, or Methods: Data points, field observations, source comparison, equations, or technical explanation.
7. Figures, Tables, and Equations: Numbered, cited in text, and supplied with captions and source/permission notes.
8. Relevance or Implications: How the findings apply to practice, education, policy, technology, or society.
9. Conclusion: Summary of the insights and recommendations.
10. References or Sources: Accurate bibliographic citations.
11. Declarations: Originality, funding, conflicts of interest, permissions, AI-use statement.

3. Figures, Equations, and Media

• Figures must be readable at publication width and supplied as PNG, JPG, SVG, or PDF.
• Every figure and table must have a caption and source note.
• Equations should be typed clearly using standard notation or LaTeX syntax where possible.
• Images of people, field sites, datasets, or third-party material require permission or a clear license basis.
• Supplementary files should be named descriptively and referenced from the article text.
